Data Products

THA offers data programs that help Texas hospitals improve operations and patient care. Combining Texas and national data with proven analysis tools, these programs enable hospitals to benchmark services to compare outcomes and profitability, target areas for improvement, make critical business decisions, and improve overall performance. Plus, not only do hospitals benefit individually, member participation in THA data programs plays a vital role in the success of advocacy efforts by substantiating our positions.

In addition to statistics on supply and demand and their relationship to socioeconomic and epidemiological characteristics, the reports include details on factors that affect nurse retention. The data was developed through a partnership among the Texas Institute for Health Policy Research (THA’s nonprofit foundation), the Texas Nurses Foundation, and the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio’s Center for Health Economics and Policy.
